Tinks’ Favorite Branch

This painting has a tremendous amount of meaning to me. I had just signed with the Holle gallery in Lahaina Maui and I can’t even express my joy to know that my art was going to show there. We had been going there for twenty plus years for vacations and I had always said that one day I would show my art in a gallery on Front Street so when I signed with the gallery it really was a dream that had come true.

I created a Tink painting and shipped off close to a dozen paintings to them. A few weeks later I woke up to the news that Lahaina was on fire and with a broken heart I watched the news in disbelief. It was so devasting to wrap my head around that everything was gone, including all my art. I raised over 33,000 Canadian in a simple fundraiser and helped with needed aid. Thank you to all my collectors for their amazing support.

A few months later, I asked my art director if I could repaint the painting and he said of course. So, with much love and joy, I painted Tink again. It was therapeutic and healing. I have one of the prints hanging in my studio and I smile every time I walk by it. She is back home. I hope whoever purchases this painting feels my love.
